An intimate depiction of the softer side of university nightlife, Smoke & Stars follows Marta (Yun Wen), a recovering alcoholic, as she attends her first party since she started treatment.
At her side during the evening is Alex (Felicia Chu), her playful yet gentle partner, and documenting the night’s revels is their friend Michelle (Sadbh McKeown), who films the party on her camcorder.

Smoke & Stars had the biggest crew and cast I’ve worked with so far and it was great to work with so many new people and have a packed and slightly crazy set. Even though uni nights can be wild, there’s a quieter side that is just as important and I hope the audience feel a certain calmness after watching this film.
